SCOPE

  • Increase production 15-20 % of Yak through support to yak farmers for proper feeding, breeding, disease control, shelter & management.
  • Development of yak promotion clusters in potential valleys.
  • Development of feedlot fattening of market-able animals with the active participation of farmers and entrepreneurs.
  • Assistance in the development of hygienic butcheries in the private sector of Gilgit-Baltistan.
  • Capacity building of Yak entrepreneurs for value addition, meat production, processing and quality.
  • Artificial Insemination of Semen has been done 132 Local cows Females Yaks
  • Number of 04 Butcheries established in District Gilgit, Ghizer and Skardu
  • No of 550 Yak/ zho animals dewormed.
  • No of 400 Yak/ zho animals registered
