SCOPE
Pakistan imports a sizable quantity of seed of agricultural as well as horticultural crops. FSC&RD, Karachi laboratory deals most of the seed import. It is essential to upgrade the facilities and capacity of this laboratory to meet the present and future requirements of cross border seed trade. The department needs construction of the laboratory building and up-gradation of its seed testing facility at Karachi, to meet testing requirements of seed during import/export.
